Marx Stock Number: 1866
Produced: 1967-1975
General Custer was another Calvary figure produced by Marx. He was molded in a unique royal blue poly-plastic generals uniform, he was 12” tall, had long blonde hair with a mustache, and came with a mix of accessories molded in black / yellow poly-plastic and black soft vinyl. A way in which Custer's accessories varied from Zachary and Maddox was that he had a general's hat instead of the officer's hat. In 1975, Custer was also given the mix of silver and yellow poly-plastic and blue soft vinyl accessories like Maddox. JWA Custer box packaging is also on the rare side, as are loose complete figures. I have only seen a few loose ones, and only one boxed in an advertisement. The MOD version of Custer I have acquired is steel blue color. I am unaware if Canada used different accessory colors for the MOD body style of Custer. I have only seen one steel blue Custer out of about a hundred. Our books and modules show excellent differences in full color for variations of these figures, check out the book section for more details. The Canadian Module alone has 44 pages of details on Canada produced figures.
